About Me

I’ve proudly called Fayetteville home since 2006, where I live with my wife, Bridgette Simon. Together, we have a close-knit family of four children, five grandchildren, and four beloved fur babies.

I’m a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel with over 20 years of service, including leadership roles in strategic planning, multinational operations, and mission coordination. My military career took me across the globe—serving in regions such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the Middle East—where I worked alongside allied forces, built partnerships, and led teams through complex, high-stakes situations. That experience taught me the value of discipline, teamwork, and listening to the people you serve.

Today, I bring that same dedication and focus to my community work here in Fayetteville. Whether it’s working with neighbors on local projects, supporting small businesses, or planning for our city’s future, I believe in leading by example and staying engaged.

Outside of public service, I enjoy life on the open road with my motorcycles and RV, and I take great pride in Bridgette’s restored 1941 Lincoln Zephyr.

Our motto is Growth with Purpose which means keeping Fayetteville beautiful while planning smart for the future. I want to protect our small-town charm, support local businesses, and expand green spaces, all while making sure growth is balanced and thoughtful. By listening to our citizens and planning for traffic, schools, and healthcare, we can ensure our community thrives today and for generations to come.

Over the years, I’ve been involved in local organizations, neighborhood projects, and community initiatives that bring people together and improve our quality of life. Whether it’s working with fellow residents to keep our streets clean, supporting local small businesses, or volunteering to help veterans, I believe in rolling up my sleeves and getting involved.
